Profitability and Expansion Initiative
Phase 1 Assessment
A comprehensive evaluation of your financial, physical and managerial resources to help you answer the question "am I in a position to get where I want to go in the dairy business?"
Process
  1. Farm manager expresses interest in Phase 1 Analysis
  2. Farm is placed on the waiting list.
  3. Profitability and Expansion Initiative team schedules new farms as current evaluations are completed.
  4. Coordinating Agent contacts farm manager with dates for:
    5. The agent meets with the farm manager and collects necessary information for the Consultation Cover Page. $500 fee is collected.
     
  5. Team also sets date for the team assessment meeting.
  6. The assessment team's goal is to complete the team summary at the farm within 6 weeks of the beginning of the assessment.
  7. Team meets and shares individual evaluations.  Develop strengths, weaknesses and overall recommendations. Review within one week.
  8. Team summary meeting at the farm. Review and discuss evaluation and recommendations.
  9. Team members follow up with farm as determined by evaluation and recommendations.  Examples include nutrition review, facilities consults, record keeping, goal setting and control review and implementation, etc.
  10. Team leader follows up with farm manager. Evaluation of process and satisfaction.
